Overview
Jocelyn J. Campbell represents clients in a variety of real estate, business matters and charter school law. She is a title agent for two national title companies and counts major lenders, buyers, and sellers among her clients. She also represents public charter schools in areas of real estate, procurement, financing, employment law and special education.
Before joining Rudolph Friedmann LLP in September 2011, Jocelyn managed a successful law firm where she concentrated on the representation of lenders, contractors, developers, local businesses, and public charter schools. Her prior experience encompasses contracts, procurement, business transactions and litigation. An experienced litigator, Jocelyn has represented numerous clients in trials in the District and Superior Courts in Massachusetts. She has filed appellate briefs and argued before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and the Appeals Court of Massachusetts. Early in her career, Jocelyn worked with the Massachusetts Public Defender’s Committee for Public Counsel Services, where she was certified to accept criminal cases in Massachusetts courts, was appointed to the Post Conviction Panel and appeared on Court T.V.
When not practicing law, Jocelyn enjoys cycling, home improvement projects, and spending time with her husband and four daughters.

Real Estate
- Acts as title agent for two national title companies

Charter Schools
- Represented a charter school with the purchase of more than 200 acres of land from a major university
- Managed all aspects of procurement and related contracts for the acquisition, including negotiating the purchase and sale agreement, due diligence, and title work for $14 million transaction
- Represented two growing charter schools in connection with a complicated land purchase, including resolving title issues, environmental matters, and modular procurement
- On-going representation for charter schools with regard to the following:
- Refinance transactions involving bond financing
- Training for board members in the areas of governance and public meeting law
- Numerous procurements, including the preparation of Requests for Proposals and Requests for Qualifications and assistance with the Design Selection Board process
- Drafting and negotiating contracts for vendors, construction projects, and commercial financing
- Providing on-call services to the head of school for employment and student related issues
- Reviewing and revising employee and student handbooks for compliance with Massachusetts laws
General Business
- Ongoing representation of a Federal Credit Union
- Representing business owners in the purchase and sale of business assets
- Representing business owners in the negotiation of long-term leases
- Representing a liquor store owner in various matters
- Representing business owners with regard to transferring liquor licenses
- Representing business owners in regard to their business entities, i.e., forming LLCs and drafting operating agreements

- Kosanovich v. 80 Worcester Street Associates et al. – Successfully represented plaintiff at a bench trial and on appeal to the Appellate Division of the Boston District Court. Issues presented were piercing the corporate veil, breach of contract and implied warranty of habitability for a renovated condominium. Case was highlighted in Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.
